EDUCATIONAL GUIDANCE CENTER

The Educational Guidance Center at UC Berkeley provides outreach to middle and high school students in the Oakland and West Contra Costa Unified School Districts. EGC Advisors offer individual and group academic advising/planning to assist students in their efforts to pursue a post-secondary education. EGC is a US Department of Education/TRIO-sponsored program focusing on low income, first-generation college-bound students at affiliated East Bay schools.

Aspire Education Project began its collaboration with EGC in 2005. We provide EGC students with a two-week spring and summer SAT prep program. The program provides students with the academic knowledge needed to do well on the test as well as with strategies and practice.
